Background
Kenneth A. Eisner was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and in 1984 from George Washington University National Law Center with his Juris Doctor Degree. While at George Washington, Ken was a Legal Fellow for the Civil Administrative Law Clinic and competed in the Jessup Cup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Professional
Ken serves as Treasurer and shareholder of Springer Bush & Perry. Ken has extensive experience in business law, franchise law, estate planning and administration, real estate law and health law representing healthcare institutions and physicians. Specifically, Ken has represented healthcare clients in a variety of matters, including employment agreements, acquisitions, medical staff issues, and tax issues.
By virtue of his representation of hospitals, Ken has been instrumental in changing the manner in which state and local tax exempt status is determined for non-profit institutions.
Ken also prides himself on utilizing his transaction experience to resolve disputes for clients, prior to litigation, often resulting in substantial savings to clients.
Ken has served as an arbitrator on numerous cases for the National Association of Securities Dealers and the Commercial Division of the American Arbitration Association.
Personal
Ken and his wife Jodi have two daughters and live in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. Ken is Vice President of Temple Ohav Shalom. Ken is also active with the Israel Bond Division of Greater Pittsburgh, where he served for three years as Chairman of the Attorneys Division. Ken is currently on the United Jewish Federation Liaison Committee for the Jewish Family and Children's Service and Jewish Residential Services. Ken was formerly a member of the Waynesburg College Graduate Studies Health Systems Administration Program Advisory Committee. During Ken's free time, when he is not with his family, he likes to exercise.
